Garden Villas Elementary School, founded in 1967, is a proud public elementary school located in the heart of Houston, TX. As part of the Houston Independent School District, we serve students in grades Pre-K through 5th with a long-standing tradition of academic excellence, fine arts, and community pride.

Our school is part of the historic Garden Villas neighborhood—a vibrant and enduring community. Many of our scholars are the children of Garden Villas Elementary graduates, continuing a proud legacy of learning, leadership, and connection. We are rich in history and deeply committed to remaining an outstanding pillar of our community.

At Garden Villas Elementary, our vision is to be the best fine arts magnet program in the state of Texas while ensuring that every scholar achieves their greatest potential. We are dedicated to enhancing our scholars’ lives through the fine arts—including piano, choir, band, and strings. Every scholar has the opportunity to thrive in music education as part of their daily learning experience.

We provide a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment where all students can grow and succeed. Our diverse student body reflects a broad range of backgrounds and cultures, and our passionate faculty and staff work together to meet the unique needs of every child.
